KG Red Day Celebration

Red is a vibrant colour, signifies strength, power and courage. A very important part of learning during Kindergarten years is identification and recognition of colours.

Happy tots of Kindergarten celebrated “Red Day” with various activities. These activities were conducted to develop their fine motor & gross motor skills.

To celebrate the colour Red Courtyard was decorated, “Show and tell” activity was conducted and Puppet show on the story “The little Red Hen” was performed by the teachers. Students and teachers joined the celebration dressed beautifully in red attire.

It was an excellent, fun filled learning experience for our little ones, which will enhance their visual discrimination.

 

Book Fair

Reading is to the mind what exercise is to the body. The book fair on the day of PTM provided an excellent opportunity for the parents to browse through books and gift a book to their child.

Annual Sports Meet 2023-24 Teaser 2

As sports day draws closer, the school is agog with preparations. Final matches are being conducted for team events while heats are getting conducted for the finals. Excitement is in the air as we gear up for the grand finale to be held next week.

 

Parents Teacher Interaction for Grade I to IX

PTM for grades 1 to 9 was held on July 15, 2023. Parents interacted at length with the teachers to discuss measures for bringing about improvement in their child’s academic performance.

 

Chandrayaan 3 Launch

All the students of SRMPS shared the pulsating moments before the launch of the Chandrayaan 3 as they saw the event live in their respective classrooms . The School student council members joined the Correspondent Sri M Subramanian, the Advisor Dr K R Maalathi and the Principal Mrs S Bhuvaneshwari to witness this landmark event. The entire school chanted the countdown and broke out into a loud cheer as the Chandrayaan was launched into orbit.

 

Letter “Bb” Activity

Letter “Bb” activities: Activities provide rich and varied experiences to the children, thereby building their knowledge, boosting creativity skills and increasing cognitive skills.

Our Happy tots of LKG performed various activities to reinforce the letter“Bb”and few words that start with letter “Bb”–balloon, butterfly, ball and bat.

All these fine motor activities help children to improves visual motor skills & independence in doing a range of tasks such as eating, writing, creating, and dressing themselves.

 

 

Leaf plucking and sticking activity

An integrated learning approach is an effective method for helping children to understand the importance of interconnection in the real world.
Happy tots of LKG performed leaves plucking and sticking activity.
Children used their pincer grip to pluck the leaves.They felt the texture of the leaves by using sense of touch. Atlast children stuck the leaves and reinforced number 1 and improved their eye hand coordination.

 

Annual Sports Meet 2023-24 – Teaser 1

All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. In keeping with this maxim, every SRM student is given ample exposure to a plethora of sporting activities. The sports day is the opportunity the students look forward to, to exhibit their expertise at the sport of their choice. The preparation for the sports day has begun and the school is throbbing with the spirit of competition and sportsmanship.

Letter “Y” Activity – Happy Tots of UKG

Letter “Y” activities: Activities make learning engaging and fun and it helps students to retain information better.

Happy tots of UKG performed various activities to reinforce the letter “Y” and few words that start with letter “Y” – yellow, yak, yawn and yarn. They performed paper rolling and sticking activity, threading activity ,bit paper pasting activity and sponge dabbing activity.
All these fine motor activities help children to improve hand –eye coordination, creativity and explore the world around us.

 

Student Council Members Meeting

The core council members of the students’ council had their first formal meeting with the ex President and ex Vice President, in the presence of the Principal and Vice Principal ( Academics). The seniors mentored the fresh appointees for the new academic year upon the practices to adopted by them, the role of a student council and how to go about their roles and responsibilities.
