Mangaiyar Tharagai Awards 2026
SRM Public School hosted the Mangaiyar Tharagai Awards 2026 at the T.P. Ganesan Auditorium, SRM University Campus, Kattankulathur, honouring six inspiring women for their outstanding contributions to society. The awardees included Dr. Sheela Unnikrishnan, Dr. Martha Grisilda Rengasami (Giri), Dr. Lakshmi Bharathi, Dr. Vijayalakshmi Arumainayagam, Mrs. Rehana Khan, and Ms. Thaaragai Arathana. The ceremony celebrated their achievements in education, healthcare, law, social service and environmental advocacy, inspiring students and the community through their exemplary leadership and service.
Scouts & Guides – Tritiya Sopan Training Camp 2026
We are delighted to share that our Scouts & Guides have successfully completed their “Tritiya Sopan Training Camp 2026” at the Bharat Scouts and Guides State Training Centre, Alathur, on 23rd February 2026.
During the camp, the students gained valuable knowledge about the Promise and Law, different types of claps, and other essential skills required for the Rajya Puraskar Testing Camp. The participants were also awarded certificates and badges in recognition of their successful completion of the Tritiya Sopan level.
Kudos to all the participants for their hard work, enthusiasm, and dedication!

Fire Drill & Safety Awareness Programme
A fire drill and awareness programme was conducted by the Tamil Nadu Fire and Rescue Services Department, Chengalpattu, for students of Grades 6–8.
Under the motto “An accident-free environment for a happy and secure future,” the team demonstrated fire safety measures, evacuation procedures, and shared important emergency numbers, including *112*.

Junior Annual Day Celebration 2025-26
Our Little Guardians of Planet Earth
SRM Public School celebrated its Kindergarten & Pre-Primary Annual Day 2025–26 on the theme “Our Little Guardians of Planet Earth.” The programme showcased environmental awareness and social responsibility through lively performances by young learners.
The event began with the digital lighting of the lamp, followed by the prayer song and school anthem. The welcome address was delivered by Mrs. Vijayalakshmi Raja, and the Annual Report was presented by the KG & Pre-Primary Coordinator.
The occasion was graced by Mr. M. Subramanian, Dr. K. R. Maalathi, and Chief Guest Ayyappan Rajasekaran, who inspired the audience with meaningful messages.
The celebration concluded with vibrant cultural performances highlighting conservation, harmony, and the spirit of young eco-champions.
