Learning beyond the classroom

Our other learning at SRM Public School presents opportunities help students enhance group interaction skills, create interdependence and foster team spirit through student clubs, field trips and excursions and community service.

Field Trips and Excursions:

Learning at SRM Public School includes regular field trips to augment classroom learning at SRM. They not only provide a break from the routine of chalk and books but also serve to expand student horizons through interaction with the local community. Field trips start in the early learning years so our younger students experience a world outside school and incorporate enquiry-based learning platforms. These outings also enable students and their teachers to interact in a more informal setting creating opportunities to build on interpersonal skills and student-teacher relationships.

Community Service:

Kids love thinking about what they want to be when they grow up! Obviously they think of two options either “doctor or engineer”.

Our society is interdependent. Learning at SRM Public School inculcates the importance of community helpers and the value addition they make to the society.

“A healthy social life is found only, when in the mirror of each soul the whole community finds its reflection and when in the whole community the virtue of each one is living”.

The unconditional service given to the society by these helpers was recognized by our students. They were given a plaque and certificate for their contribution.

Universal Children’s day:

Children are the future of the nation to nurture their future we need to shape their present. 20th November, which is universal Children’s day was dedicated to promote, awareness and recognize their rights.

Learning at SRM Public School also involves allowing our School Children to participate in a rally with placards and slogans against child labour, child abuse and importance of girl child’s education.
