CBSE INTERPOL Quiz Competition

CBSE INTERPOL quiz contest was conducted on 31st October for the students of grades 6 -11.The main motive for conducting this competition was to spread awareness about an international organisation called INTERPOL which interlinks worldwide police force that prevents international crime. Students gathered copious information about Interpol and participated fervently in the competition.

Yellow and Green Day Celebration

Yellow and Green day celebration
On 31st October, the kindergarten of SRMPS celebrated “GREEN and YELLOW”with an aim to teach the importance and pulchritude of green and yellow colour, which symbolise prosperity, energy, fertility ,harmony , nature, optimism and the like. All the teachers and students came dressed up in green and yellow and the entire school was embellished with green and yellow backgrounds. An exhibition of green and yellow objects was put up by the teachers to aid visual learning. The puppet show hooked the kids to become more participative. This celebration gave our tiny tots a practical learning experience which made their day an enjoyable one.

National Unity Day

To commemorate the National unity day, a special assembly was conducted today by the high school students. A senior faculty member threw light on the immeasurable role that sardar Patel played in the Unification of India into a union of states. Students and teachers took the National Unity oath to preserve the unity, integrity and security of the nation. Students participated in an awareness campaign by speaking to parents and students of the primary sections about the life and Contributions of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. The students enjoyed watching the virtual exhibition on the life and work of Sardar Patel.

Field Trip – Department of Psychology

The students belonging to the Department of Psychology visited Silver N Springs nursery and primary school for specially abled children on 28 Nov. 2022. The occupational therapist and special educator informed the students about different types of learning disabilities and kinds of teaching strategies used for teaching children with special needs . The students were appraised of the difficulties faced by children with special needs, the patience and empathy needed to deal with such children and the role of an inclusive school system.

 

Guest Lecture Series – Service Before self

The atmosphere was pulsating with patriotism as the students of grades 8 to 12, gathered to welcome Colonel (retd) A. Krishnaswami Vir Chakra, Vishist Seva Medal and Bar. Colonel (retd) A. Krishnaswami shared thrilling experiences from his moments on the battlefield , during the 1971 Indo Pak war when India recorded a glorious victory, forcing the enemy to its knees in surrender. He motivated students to consider the defence forces as a career choice. The Retd. Colonel gladly answered a plethora of questions raised by the students, towards the end of the session.
