The school was agog with excitement and cheer among all, as the Diwali fever caught all and sundry. Students prepared amazingly creative posters with tips for a safe diwali celebration. Colourful floral rangolis adorned the corridors and classes were decorated with paper crafted festoons, diwali lamps and lanterns.

As a part of the YUVA Club Activities and the Ek Bharat Sreshtha Bharath Initiative of CBSE, the students of the middle school and senior section were shown a documentary on the History and Timeline of Kashmir titled ‘The Kashmir Story’ created by Times Now’. Jammu & Kashmir being the paired UT by the CBSE,the above screening was aimed at making students know the history and development of Jammu and Kashmir.

Students of grades 10 and 12 researched the economic significance of the paired UTs ( Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh) for an essay writing activity.

A special assembly heralded the festive mood at SRMPS as students thronged the campus in brightly coloured traditional clothes. The students were encouraged to celebrate a safe diwali by the Chief School Security Officer, who gave a demo of safety while burning crackers. A sound mind lives in a healthy body. With this theme the Psychology dept. put up a role play to destigmatize mental illness by reaching out to the counselor for timely intervention.

Karate champions krishant and Srinidhi S of grade VIII have exhibited an outstanding performance and bagged the second and first place in kata and Kumite events conducted by Zenkoahn Isshin -Ryu karate-do of India at SIVET college on 16.10.22.
