Onam Celebration

Onam is one of the most significant festivals of Kerala and is an attraction for the thousands of people outside and within the State of Kerala. All the activities during this season are centered on worship, music, dance, sports, boat races and traditional onam sadhya.  Onam is a harvest festival and celebrates the reward of nature after a year of hard work.

On 10th September 2019, SRMPS Kindergarten team celebrated Onam, the festival of Happiness, Peace and Prosperity with great fervour and high spirit. Together with the teachers, the children decorated a Pookalam (Rangoli) with fresh flower petals and leaves. Lamp was lit and placed upon the Poolakalam, giving an almost spiritual ambience to the occasion.

The children tapped along in delight to the traditional Onam song & boat race song that was performed by our tiny tots. The children were told the significance and the legend of Onam through a skit, enacted by our upper KG children.

Students and teachers equally enjoyed and actively took part in Onam Celebration.

Beach Day

Beach Day at SRMPS, strives to offer a developmentally appropriate program for kindergarten-age children. As a faith-based preschool program, we hope to promote the social and cognitive growth development of each child in a warm and nurturing environment.

Whether we live near a beach or not, there is just something fun and relaxing about a beach theme.

We at SRMPS had organised beach day on 31-Aug-2019 for our Kindergarten tiny tots. The children had arrived with their family members to make this day more memorable.

Tiny tots were offered colourful garland and a head band to bring in the feel of beach day. The building of sand castle, playing in the sliding board, the sea-saw, mini merry-go-round, dart board, balloon bursting, transferring water games, having cotton candies, hot bajji, etc., and finally having a splash in our pool was the ultimate fun for our children. They loved & enjoyed every moment of the day.

The Kodak moment were also captured along with our different cutout models to complete the beach day.

Ganesh Chaturthi Celebration

Lord Ganesha, the God of New beginning and the remover of obstacles, as well as the God of wisdom and intelligence is celebrated all over India.

We at SRMPS celebrated Ganesh Chaturthi (birth of Lord Ganesha) on 30-Aug-19. Principal Mrs Bhuvanasawari performed the Puja to receive blessing for the institution. Puja was performed with Bhajans, sung by our kids in praise of Lord Ganesha. The essence of Ganesh Chaturthi celebration was explained to the children.

Children loved & enthusiastically made Ganesha from clay which was their “take away”.

Orange Day

Orange is associated with meanings of joy, warmth, sunshine, enthusiasm, creativity, happiness, expression and fascination. To bring the true meaning of this colour to our children, we acquainted the little ones with the concept of this secondary colour through the current theme “Trotting around the globe” and integrated with it to achieve better learning. We had Chinese dragon and lantern, Castle from Scotland and Halloween pumpkin were the highlights of the day.

Orange day was celebrated on 30th August 2019 at SRMPS organised by Upper Kindergarten with great zeal and zest.

Classrooms conducted different styles of making carrot craft for their kids as a takeaway.
