Puja was performed with Bhajans, sung by our kids in praise of Lord Ganesha. The essence of Ganesh Chaturthi celebration was explained to the children.

Orange Day

Orange is associated with meanings of joy, warmth, sunshine, enthusiasm, creativity, happiness, expression and fascination. To bring the true meaning of this colour to our children, we acquainted the little ones with the concept of this secondary colour through the current theme “Trotting around the globe” and integrated with it to achieve better learning. We had Chinese dragon and lantern, Castle from Scotland and Halloween pumpkin were the highlights of the day.

Orange day was celebrated on 30th August 2019 at SRMPS organised by Upper Kindergarten with great zeal and zest.

Classrooms conducted different styles of making carrot craft for their kids as a takeaway.

Janmashtami Celebration

Janmashtami, the birth of Lord Krishna was celebrated at SRM Public School, with great pomp and festivity by the tiny tots of Kindergarten. Dressed in ethnic attires, they gave a traditional touch to the entire celebration. Most of the boys were dressed like Krishna & girls were like Radha.

Our Principal, Ms.S.Bhuvaneshwari had performed the pooja and started the events. Any traditional Indian festival isn’t complete without dance and song, there were splendid dance performances, group song and the Dashavatar of Lord Krishna was beautifully showcased by our blooming buds.

Bon Voyage Day

Senior Kindergarten children of SRMPS with great enthusiasm celebrated “Bon Voyage Day” on 16-Aug-2019. They were ready for their journey to different places (China, Scotland, Italy & USA) in the world as per the theme “Trotting Around the World”.

They were offered handmade individual passports. The school was transformed to an airport (SRMPS Airport) with an immigration counter and also an Aeroplane (SRMPS Airline) model was placed to make them feel the ambience of an Airport.

Children were made to stand in a row to get their passports stamped before they boarded the flight to their destination. They were guided to the flight and they were all set for their travel.

Children enjoyed and learnt as we made them go through the process of an International Travel to different countries from India.

Blue Day for LKG & Pre-KG

The Junior Kindergarten and Pre-Kg of SRMPS celebrated Blue Day on 16-Aug-2019.  The day was transformed into a pleasant blue day for our tiny tots.

Excitement and enthusiasm was visible as all the children came dressed up in different shades and hues of blue. The classrooms were decorated and children were given an insight into the different shades of blue.

Blue – the colour of loyalty, strength, wisdom and trust had a very positive impact on children bringing in harmony .The colour was reiterated through a series of activities, through different games and play-way activities.

An array of blue coloured objects was displayed thus providing the opportunities to have a clear sense of the colour and its importance.

Blue Day was an amazing learning experience .It was indeed a visual treat to see the good effects of blue colour on our little ones.

Surprise visit of our Founder and Chancellor

On 23rd August 2019, SRM Public School was blessed with the surprise visit of our Founder and Chancellor, Dr. T.R. Parivendar. Sir stepped in for a few minutes to meet with the faculty and the Principal for a quick interaction. The teachers sang a birthday wish for Sir, which he graciously accepted. He encouraged teachers to give their best to the students and the Principal in turn assured him that his dream of establishing a powerful chain of schools will come true! It was really encouraging for many of the members of the faculty to get an opportunity to interact with such an eminent yet simple stalwart.
