On 23rd August 2019, SRM Public School was blessed with the surprise visit of our Founder and Chancellor, Dr. T.R. Parivendar. Sir stepped in for a few minutes to meet with the faculty and the Principal for a quick interaction. The teachers sang a birthday wish for Sir, which he graciously accepted. He encouraged teachers to give their best to the students and the Principal in turn assured him that his dream of establishing a powerful chain of schools will come true! It was really encouraging for many of the members of the faculty to get an opportunity to interact with such an eminent yet simple stalwart.

Children love being outdoors, running around and finding ways to play with water. Playing with water is a fun activity that can lead to all sorts of imaginative activities. On 13th and 16^th August 2019, SRMPS had conducted ‘Car Wash Day,’ for their Junior KG and Pre.KG kids respectively.

The children enjoyed washing the school van instead of a car.

The importance of using  minimum amount of water, avoiding splashing and the right ways of rinsing the cloth and sponge were explained to the children.

Kids love the activities, which involve water. Washing the van helped them to sharpen their eye- hand co-ordination and by rinsing they develop better fine motor skill in a play way method.

SRMPS UKG had celebrated Yellow and Green Day with the theme “Transforming from Nothing to Everything” on the13th August 2019.

Our school courtyard area and the respective classrooms were beautifully decorated with appropriate yellow and green objects. Boys wore yellow and girls come to school in green colour attire.

Beams of yellow shades and the colour of life carried the promise of a positive future flashing creative thoughts in the young minds.

Focusing on the theme teachers planned and executed various activities and takeaway craft was made by the children.

They spent the day with utmost enjoyment participated and learnt through various fun activities.

Kids love to learn new things and one of the best way to understand new things is to have hands on experience.

On par with the concept of the month “The neighbourhood places“, our UKG children were taken to Mithran Super Market. There children were made to identify different things, they were allowed to pick up things of their choice and also they witnessed the process of billing the product, they choose.

Children were excited to watch the fresh coffee beans grounded into coffee powder and packed into packets of different measurement.

Overall it was a good learning experience by the children.
