Mode of transport is simply a means of moving people or goods from one place to another. Generally, they are categorized into Road, Water, Rail and Air transports. LKG children of SRMPS where taken to an extravagant tour on 27th February 2019, to learn the importance and various uses of modes of transportation as part of their curriculum.
To create an awareness about healthy food SRMPS PRE-KG wing organized food fest on 27th February 2019. Information corners, displays of fruits, vegetables, pulses and cereals and food items emphasized the importance of nutrients and healthy food habits.
Food outlets with a variety of mouth-watering handmade delicious dishes tempered and attracted each and every one. Relishing and sharing the food, reciting and singing rhymes ensured that happiness reigned. As Part of this food fest one of our parent (Professional Chef) volunteered and demonstrated fireless cooking, which helped the children to prepare simple and healthy recipes by themselves.
White colour is the symbol of purity, honesty, cleanliness, perfection and the beginning. LKG & UKG children of SRMPS have enjoyed white colour day on 15 February 2019. As part of celebration children learnt about the living, non-living things and food items in white colour and they were taken to snow world, which was like icing on the cake for them.
As a Joint venture, SRMPS with SRM Medical College organised a free medical camp for students on 12.02.19 and 13.02.19 at SRM Public School. Medical examination was done by doctors from various fields like Paediatric, Optician, ENT and Dental.
A health awareness program was also conducted on 13.02.19 for the grade 7 and 8 students.
Budding intellects of SRM public school have proved their mettle by winning in the first national level Robotics competition “Robo Prix’19“ conducted by Robotics club, VIT Kelambakkam, Chennai on 11.02.2019 and 12.02.2019. Our 7th and 8th graders gave a tough fight to other school and college students outnumbering 350 and bagged I & II prize in Line Follower, I & III prize in Drag Race. This astounding achievement by our prodigies is etched with pride in the books of our SRMPS history.
