Field trip to Guindy National Park
SRMPS arranged a field trip to Guindy National Park for Grade 1 students. Field trips are important to help bridge the gap between education and hands-on experience. The students were extremely excited about the trip. The field trip provided the students hands-on experience. They explored the National Park and built on their natural curiosity about animals. In true sense, this visit helped our students co-relate the concepts they had been learning in class with real life experiences gathered.

Drop and Read
To inculcate reading habit, SRMPS has initiated to have DEAR- Drop Everything And Read activity on 22.10.2018. DEAR will be done once in a month in-order to encourage students and staff to read for pleasure.

Ayudha Pooja & Vijayadashami Celebrations
The integral parts of the Navaratri festival, Ayudha Pooja and Vijayadashami were celebrated in a grand manner.
Ayudha Pooja is a celebration involving the workship of the tools which we use everyday.
Vidhyarambham is a tradition observed on Vijayadashami day where children are introduced to letters by their Parents / Grandparents.

Field trip to ICICI Bank
Students of grade VI visited ICICI bank on 12.10.2018, to understand how bank organizes its functions. Mr.Parathasarathy, The Manager of West Mambalam branch facilitated the learning by explaining the work flow, types of account, ATM, cheques etc., to our students. During this visit students learnt about the importance of saving. To motivate children, ICICI bank conducted drawing competition & the winners were honoured by the bank.

Family Day
A family is the first school in which a child receives the basic values of life. The morals learnt in family become our guiding force. Family build our character & lays foundation for our thinking. To strengthen this SRM Public School, organized a fun filled day for the families of Pre-kindergarten on 13.10.2018.
