Field trip to ICICI Bank

Students of grade VI visited ICICI bank on 12.10.2018, to understand how bank organizes its functions. Mr.Parathasarathy, The Manager of West Mambalam branch facilitated the learning by explaining the work flow, types of account, ATM, cheques etc., to our students. During this visit students learnt about the importance of saving. To motivate children, ICICI bank conducted drawing competition & the winners were honoured by the bank.

Family Day

Field trip to Clickart 3D Museum

Experiential learning provide a platform to encounter and enliven novel things. As a part of curriculum, students of grade 4 and 5 witnessed the most stupendous views at the trick art museum, injambalkam on 11.10.18. The breathtaking 3D pictures were so captivating that made student folk to investigate more about optical illusions and idyllic art creation.

Field Trip to SRM Hotel

A tactical method of teaching is achievable only by visual literacy and integrating it with the curriculum. Grade 3 had an excellent opportunity to experience the hospitality and appreciate the service rendered by the Hotel management by visiting the SRM Hotel, Potheri. The kids  were delighted to see the chef created mouth watering sandwiches and endured in piping butter cream frost on cupcakes and tinting food colours. They romped the day.

Children participated in a panel discussion on recycling and its impact on environment

Our SRMPS Students witnessed the panel discussion organised by BEHTAR India on 10.10.2018. Experts and policymakers discussed about Recycling plastics, challenges faced during the campaign ‘ Cleaner, greener and healthier Chennai‘.

 

The event educated and motivated the students to be the change makers. Suggested ways to recycle things at school. “All waste is not plastics and not all plastics are waste”-is the main concept.
