Pongal Celebration-2018

SRM Public School donned a village atmosphere with the typical decorations exclusive

for any festival in the villages on 11.01.2018. It was Pongal celebration in the school.

 

A special assembly was conducted; students presented a street play to depict the significance

of our own Harvest Festival. Pongal was prepared in the open and offered to the Sun God.

The grand finale was the bullock cart ride which the students enjoyed the most.

 

 

Winter Workshop-2017

Mega Family Carnival open to all – held on 7th January 2018

The much awaited SRM Public School “Mega Family Carnival” was held on 7th January, 2018 in the school premises. The carnival celebrations commenced with ribbon cutting by the school Principal and Advisor. Parents and students of SRMPS, enthusiastically presented a variety shows which includes enthralling songs, dances and drama performance.

 

A very special segment catering to the interest of children included a variety of rides and games. The youngsters made merry at the games stalls participating in dart games, shooting the balloons, feed the frog, lucky dip etc. Magic show, Street play, Tattoo, Mehandi and caricature were added attractions. Exciting prizes ensured an unforgettable time with near and dear ones.

 

The stalls put up by various parents were indeed a crowd puller. A variety of food stalls offering   popcorn, cotton candy, frankies, chaat, sweet corn, pulavs, hot chocolate fudge and ice-cream vied      with one another in attracting the children as well parents.

The school ground pulsated with scintillating music and a lively crowd. The carnival had something in store for everybody, be it children or an adult.

Christmas Celebration-2017

Christmas Celebration held on 22 Dec, 2017

Christmas is a time to give and forgive. Celebrated everywhere as a joyous family affair, we too, at SRM Public School, Nandhivaram, Guduvanchery, celebrated Christmas as a happy time for our children on 22nd December 2017. The programme began with welcome speech followed by a Christmas carol. Various cultural events such as dances, puppet show, songs and a play on Christmas kindled the entire atmosphere.

 

The school wore a festive look with a big Christmas tree decorated with baubles and hollies, while the Pre-Primary Children were in their best festive attire.

 

All the Children enjoyed to the beats of “Jingle Bells”. Class parties were enjoyed by the Students and the Teachers alike. The Principal, Vasumathy Srinivasan, spoke about the significance of Christmas and wished children a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. The programme came to an end with Santa Claus coming along and distributing cakes to one and all.
