A 2 day CBSE led, Capacity Building Programme was conducted on the topic ‘Inclusive Education’ for the teaching fraternity of SRMPS on 24th and 25th May, 2024. The resource persons Dr Bhavanishankar Subramanian and Dr Maheshwari Natarajan led the teachers through an activity oriented workshop that shed light on understanding and empathizing with various physical challenges that students may have and accomodating these diversities with an inclusive approach.
Teaching with technology is a part of the 21st century skills. In keeping with this need, SRMPS has always ensured that it keeps ahead of times and equips all its classrooms with the latest in technology. The teachers attended a refresher programme in the use of the new tools added to the existing interactive panel in every classroom, on 23.05.24.
In service training programmes are an excellent opportunity to rejuvenate and acquire new knowledge. The staff at SRMPS has been honing their skills through the series of Faculty Development Programmes over the last two days. These included a session on ‘Using NCERT text books’ and ‘NEP 2020’ by the Principal, Mrs Vijayalakshmi Raja and an activity based session on ‘Handling Substitution Classes’ by the VP Academics, Mrs Vijaya Lakshmi Nagarajan.
