Ocean Day Activity || Grades 1 and 2
To create awareness about the importance of oceans and marine life, SRMPS organized Ocean Day Activity for the students of Grade 1 and Grade 2 on 10.06.25.
Grade 2 children showcased their artistic skills by preparing various sea creatures using clay. They moulded colourful fishes, turtles, starfish, octopuses, and other marine animals, which they beautifully displayed on papers designed to resemble the sea and beach.
Grade 1 children enthusiastically participated in a paper folding activity, where they made paper boats. These boats were then carefully placed on paper to create a lovely sea scene, enhancing the ocean-themed display.
The activity not only nurtured the children’s creativity and fine motor skills but also instilled awareness about ocean conservation and marine life.

They also performed a skit highlighting how human activities impact marine life and demonstrated ways to prevent further harm. This initiative successfully raised awareness among the students, promoting one of the Sustainable Development Goals, “Life Below Water.”
