SRM Public School conducted a powerful awareness session on May 26, 2025, to educate its teachers about the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) and the Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH).
Led by Advocate Mrs. Adhilakshmi, the session shed light on child safety, workplace harassment, legal safeguards, and the importance of timely action. It was an eye-opening interaction that empowered educators with essential legal knowledge to ensure a safe and supportive environment for all.

Basic Life Support Training
SRM Public School teachers benefited from the ‘Basic Life Support Training’ organized by IMA-SRM, Potheri, in collaboration with SRM Global Hospitals on April 30th. The engaging session demonstrated emergency response techniques, first aid for various conditions, and hands-on training. Expert doctors shared valuable insights on prevention and management, making it a fruitful session. This timely and informative session was highly beneficial, highlighting the importance of such initiatives.
Fire Safety Training
SRM Public School conducted a fire safety training for its supporting staff on May 5th. Led by Mr. Prabhakaran, Chief Safety & Security Officer, the session covered fire types, extinguisher use, and hands-on demos. The initiative reinforced our commitment to safety, prevention, and preparedness.
CBSE Workshop on School Health and Wellness
A CBSE workshop on School Health and Wellness was conducted on April 28-29 for SRMPS’ faculty members. Resource persons Ms. Jaya and Ms. Lakshmi Prabha provided in-depth explanations on various topics, engaging educators through interactive activities. The workshop was informative, broadening our knowledge on health awareness, safety measures, and action planning for a healthy life. Relatable examples highlighted the importance of health education in schools.

Earth Day Celebration by Grades 6 and 7
To celebrate Earth Day 2025, the Grade 6 and 7 students participated in Green Pledge and exciting poem writing activity. This event raised awareness about the importance of protecting our environment. Grade 7 Students showcased their creativity by writing poems using rhyming words and crafting beautiful acrostic poems and Grade 6 students made colourful posters and shared thoughtful messages that we can help the environment by planting more trees, using less plastic, save water etc., This activity encouraged students to think about their role in protecting the Mother Earth.
Earth Day Celebration by Grades 4 and 5
Students of Grade 4 & 5 celebrated the ‘Earth day’ to spread awareness through a Poster Making Activity focused on protecting our planet.
