Virtual Collaboration between TBIS and SRMPS
The students who participated in the Payload project of SRMPS had a virtual interaction with the students of Tokyo Bay international School, Japan on 27.01.25, on the topic, ‘ Beyond Space’ . The session was very interactive with the students of SRMPS throwing light on the nuances of working on the payload and the learning thereby. They shared their emotions on seeing their payload being sent into space with launch of SSLV-D3 Demo Sat. Their counterparts from Japan asked curious questions regarding the challenges they faced, the expenditure involved, future missions etc. The session ended with the Advisor of SRMPS, Dr K R Maalathi expressing her desire to probe the possibility of a collaborative space mission in the future.

Our young innovators will share their experiences in designing payload for satellites, exploring the endless possibilities of space exploration.

“Don’t mistake it for the Birla Planetarium—it’s our very own SRMPS campus! Yesterday, we hosted a spectacular Sky Watch event for our students and parents to witness the awe-inspiring Planet Parade. With three high-end telescopes set up for this celestial spectacle, the event turned into a grand celebration for the people of Guduvanchery.
It was a first-of-its-kind experience, attracting not just parents and grandparents but also neighbors, all eager to witness the magic of the night sky. The joy and excitement on everyone’s faces were truly rewarding.
This event set us apart, proving once again that SRMPS leads the way in innovative and unique learning experiences. We are proud to be the only school in the entire state to host such an extraordinary event!”
